Discover Claude Picasso's photographs in Antibes this autumn
For your next visit to Antibes, I suggest an exhibition devoted to Claude Picasso. From 11 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, Château Grimaldi hosts “Une vie en marges”, a show of his photographs. Return to the museum through a different perspective, then continue your outing in the old town. The Plascassier theatre event previously featured on this page ended in September.

The photographs show different sides of Claude Picasso's practice: portraits of contemporaries, magazine commissions and surrealist compositions. I suggest looking at how he approaches a person, then a constructed image. The visit may interest those who mainly know the Picasso name through his father's painting.
Choose a morning for the museum, then leave lunch for old Antibes. From Place Mariéjol, you can reach the ramparts and the Promenade Amiral de Grasse. I suggest keeping the afternoon free of other bookings, so you can stay in the neighbourhood if the visit leaves you wanting to linger.

The exhibition opens on 11 October. If you are coming for Claude Picasso's photographs, avoid planning the outing for the very beginning of the month. The museum welcomes visitors from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm, and is closed on Mondays.
